Would You Pay $150+ for Year-Round Fresh Herbs?

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Today I was digging for some info on ‘growing weed indoors’ and came across the following section:

Heaven knows, by mid-February, the days may be longer here in the northern hemisphere but precious little edible is growing. In my hometown of St. Louis, the first farmers markets will open in mid April but at least one will delay its opening until late May. That’s just two weeks after our last-risk-of-freeze date but the market master knows that until then, there’s really just not enough farm produce and that even the best grass-fed meats, free-range eggs, whole-grain breads and hand-crafted c

I survived Typhoon Reming

Strong hands helped me over the growing debris to the relative safety of the M/B Buri Princess which was now wedged between me and the shore, my boat now ironically a cting as a temporary breakwater. … The captain of Buri magically brought out a stove and in the middle of the tempest, brewed a pot of 3-in-1 which was slowly passed around this rather forlorn group….

Today I was digging for some info on ‘good marijuana seeds’ and came across the following section:

March 10, 2008 - Katalagari, Greece Our first full day in Katalagari was amazing! We had a late start at 1:00, which was enough time to relax in the morning sun and let my hair sun dry. We had a picnic by the pool and set out to a castle ruin that was very pretty with almond trees in bloom all around. We then headed down to the Carnival parade in town with our Greek tour guides, Vasilis and Dimitris. There were tons of people gathered outside the taverns drinking free wine and eating little pie

Life and Death from Beijing: a Poetry Sequence by Luisetta Mudie and Dreamer Fei

~~~~~ Editors note: The title of this post derives from one of the most important memoirs of the last century, Life and Death in Shanghai by Nien Cheng, which came out in 1987. She recounts in that book her imprisonment by the Red Guard during Mao Zedongs Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). Politically speaking, her work represents what many of us would know about China during that time period. Shortly after that books publication, the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 took place
Monday, March 17th, 2008
Today I was digging for some info on ‘growing pot outside’ and came across the following section:
Hey guys, I am preparing for my first ever outdoor grow and believe I have the bases covered pretty well but some love from you guys could really go a long way. Most of my remaining questions involve the initial start up , the first 3 or 4 weeks. I know how to germinate seeds, in fact, damn well. I also know how to plant them in the soil about 1 inch deep with obviously the sprout facing down and the remaining shell on top. Now, I intend to grow in soil without buckets. And what I mea
Vermont: House ag committee gives OK to hemp
By Peter Hirschfeld, Vermont Press Bureau MONTPELIER A controversial plant moved through the Statehouse without much controversy Wednesday. Lawmakers in the House Agriculture Committee unanimously approved a bill that would allow Vermont farmers to grow hemp, a benign cousin of marijuana that boasts a variety of industrial applications. A federal statute criminalizing the plant supercedes Vermont’s legislation, so Green Mountain hemp won’t go to sprout anytime soon. But advocates of the hem
